Sculpture and support, developed together.

For Amassment, Fouad Salaime worked with artist Carmit Hassine to develop the metal stands for her sculptures. Digital studies explored how the proportions and composition of each support could respond to the form above it.

The work moved between the individual object and the room: from the lines of a stand to the placement of the sculptures at Maya Gallery.

Small shifts. Another balance.

Changing what happens at the floor changes the whole composition. These model studies explore the sculptures on surface bases, on dark bases, and on open supports.

Finding their place.

The studies became a guideline document with dimensions and general information for producing the metal stands. It also served as a reference for placing the sculptures within the gallery.
