An exhibition imagined as a space in common.
Mat3am Club is a curatorial collective from the contemporary art world, working with artists from MENA diasporas and cultivating a broader approach to the contemporary Mediterranean art scene.
For this exhibition at La Corvée Galerie, they gathered twelve young artists from the MENA region in France, and approached it as a place for shared stories, imagination and hospitality.

Fouad’s contribution
At this stage, Fouad became involved, helping the collective develop the layout and arrangement of the art pieces and objects in the space in the most optimal way, through a holistic architectural and scenographic perspective.

The exhibition takes shape between the pieces: their scale, their placement, and the room they leave for one another.
A first reading of the room: artworks, objects and furniture held in one spatial composition.
02 / An arrangement in plan

Leave room for people.
Seen from above, the separate pieces become a shared arrangement. The plan relates the gathering area, floor works and wall displays to the existing room and its staircase.

From a plan
to a place.
The perspective study brings the proposal down to the scale of a visitor: floor, wall and suspended works share a single view.

A recording from the working model. Moving around the space makes the relationships between the artworks, furniture and architecture easier to read.

A room,
inhabited.
The drawings become a place to gather, look, linger and share.
